After graduating nursing school as a young woman in Eastern Washington, Tammy moved to Seattle with her husband, Jeremy, setting out to launch their careers and dreams in the big city. She developed her medical skills and champion bedside manner while working 5 years at University of Washington Medical Center Reproductive Endocrinology, followed by several more years at Seattle Reproductive Medicine.
Working as a fertility nurse, she loved helping her patients realize their dream of becoming parents. Her favorite part of it all was spending time with her patients and getting to know each and every one of them over months of treatment. Once her patients achieved a successful pregnancy, she released them back to the care of their regular OB/GYN or Family Provider. That’s when her true calling revealed itself. She knew what she had to do and it was time to go back to school. Her realized passion – family practice – was where she could develop lifelong relationships with all of her patients and provide them with the excellent and personable care she knew she could offer.
While working full time and pregnant with her first child, Tammy completed her Masters as an advanced nurse practitioner at Seattle Pacific University. She believes in promoting overall health and wellness as both a preventative and healing focus. She is also experienced with diagnosing and treating men and women with hormone imbalances.
Her years of experience in women’s health and fertility helped shape her genuine care and concern for her patients. She wanted to be a part of their entire health and wellness program, not just for specialized temporary treatment. She also envisioned one day of building her own practice. This dream became an opportunity when she and her husband decided to pack up their belongings and move home to Eastern Washington, the perfect place to put their roots down and raise their kids. She feels the small town lifestyle and family focused environment of Moses Lake allows them more freedom to become involved in the community.
Never looking back, she’s brought her expertise home to Moses Lake. She’s a country girl at heart anyway, and now she’s home. When she’s not busy building her practice or speaking at local events and medical conferences, she’s chasing her two little ones around the yard with a squirt gun and enjoying time at the lake. And when she’s not doing any of those things, you can bet she and her husband are tailgating on any given weekend at a UW Huskies football game in Seattle – yes, they’re the ones wearing purple wigs and barbecuing outside their big purple decked out trailer… stop by and say “Hi!”
Insider Tip: Do not ask her to join in on a homemade cookie exchange party. She’d be the one to forget all about it and then try to pass off a plate of Oreos at the last minute. Truth.
